  比利时阿兹海默症方向博士后招聘

The Laboratory for the Research of Neurodegenerative Diseases headed by prof. Bart De Strooper is a vibrant environment where key issues related to Alzheimer’s disease are tackled. We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated postdoc to join our multidisciplinary project on polygenic risk scores, Alzheimer’s disease and neuroinflammation (see Sierksma et al. 2020 EMBO Mol Med; Escott-Price et al. 2017 Ann Neurol).

In this project, we will assess how new insights from the genetics of Alzheimer’s disease, including polygenic risk, can aid in understanding the molecular and cellular basis for Alzheimer etiopathogenesis. The candidate will use human iPS cells both in vitro and in vivo using xenografted mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease (see Mancuso et al. 2019 Nat Neurosci) to gain further insight.

  Profile Required

  Strong background and hands-on experience with microglia biology and/or stem cell technology

    Experience with laboratory mice

  Critical mindset, fast learner & team player

  Ability to collaboratively lead a multidisciplinary project with international and national partners in academia, industry and the clinics

  Project management and effective communication skills
