Postdoctoral Opportunities at Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile – FONDECYT 2027

The Faculty of Sciences at Universidad de Valparaíso (UV), Chile, invites outstanding early-career researchers to contact potential UV academic sponsors in preparation for the FONDECYT Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027.

The FONDECYT Postdoctoral call is expected to open in July 2026 and close in August 2026, with projects starting on April 1, 2027.

The Faculty of Sciences hosts active research groups, institutes, and interdisciplinary centers in physics, astronomy, mathematics, statistics, data science, biology, neuroscience, physiology, chemistry, meteorology, ecology, environmental sciences, and climate-related research.

Prospective applicants should identify and contact a potential host researcher at UV whose expertise is aligned with their proposed project. Initial contact should include a CV, a brief project description, and a short statement of fit with the host researcher or research group.

The fellowship typically provides a 2–3 year postdoctoral position, salary, installation funds, and annual research funds, according to ANID rules.
