Job description

We are looking for a postdoc in quantum information and computation with applications to machine learning and optimization, in particular in the framework of future communication systems. The primary purpose of the position is own research in the area. However, the work also involves some project management and coordination within the EU-funded project that supports the position. In the project we will work together with several European universities and companies.

Requirements

A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

Demonstrated scientific excellence and outstanding academic track record.

Demonstrated potential for future development.

Strong background in quantum information and computation.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently.

Demonstrated excellent command of English orally and in writing i requried in the daily work.

Preferred qualifications

A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline

Demonstrated collaboration skills.

Demonstrated teaching skills and potential.

Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment

The position offered is for, at the most, two years.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
