The School of Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sustainability (ECOS) at Florida Atlantic University invites applications for five 2-year WLW-ECOS Postdoctoral Fellowships supporting solution-oriented environmental research.

ECOS is Florida Atlantic University's hub for solution-oriented environmental research, training, and community engagement. ECOS unites world-class researchers across the university, including the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. FAU is both a a top 100 ranked public university and Carnegie R1 top-tier research institution located along Florida's southeastern Atlantic coast, providing access to coral reefs, coastal estuaries, the Everglades, terrestrial habitats and urban coastal communities—a living laboratory for environmental research.

Position Details:

Competitive salary + benefits + $5,000/year research budget

Must identify two ECOS-affiliated faculty advisors

Requirements & Application Materials (submit as single PDF):

Recent Ph.D. in environment-related science (within one year of postdoctoral start date)

Cover letter (1-2 pages) describing research interests, career goals, and fit with the FAU ECOS mission CV including publication record

Research proposal (3-5 pages) outlining solution-oriented environmental research plan

Letters of support from two proposed ECOS faculty advisors with the primary advisor from the FAU Department of Biological Sciences or the Department of Geosciences
