OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas GSPP Department invites applications for an IPC Postdoctoral Fellow position.

The term of employment for this position would be 1 year with an anticipated start date of August 2026.

Students who have graduated from an APA PsyD or PhD program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology require 2,000 hours of supervised practice as part of application to the Minnesota Board of Psychology prior to licensure. The postdoctoral fellow position at the Interprofessional Center (IPC) would combine aspects of advanced psychological practice, provision of clinical supervision, program development, interprofessional education, and engagement in college level committee work. Additionally, the postdoctoral fellow would support the instructional needs of the Graduate School of Professional Psychology by teaching two 3-credit MA level courses under the supervision of an established instructor in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP). Postdoctoral fellows will be compensated financially for their work and will also receive required supervision (i.e., two hours of supervision with a doctoral level psychologist per week) as they work towards licensure in the field of psychology.

The postdoctoral position would build on existing clinical education opportunities offered by the IPC and available to UST students. The position would also serve to support increasing aspects of service delivery at the IPC, increase the psychology work force in the Twin Cities area, and is consistent with the overall mission of the University of St. Thomas and the IPC.

Essential Functions

Provide individual counseling to clients at the IPC (10-15 client caseload) and psychological assessment as needed

Provide clinical supervision (under the supervision of a licensed psychologist) to MA and/or PsyD students completing their clinical education through the IPC in both individual and group formats

Prepare and present didactic presentations to students and/or interprofessional audiences related to topics in psychology/counseling or other areas of expertise

Serve as primary adjunct instructor for two 3 credit MA courses in GSPP under the supervision of an established GSPP instructor consistent with the candidate's developing area of expertise

Involvement in interprofessional educational offerings through IPC benefitting MFCOH students in multiple disciplines

Serve as a representative of GSPP on the Interprofessional Education Committee through MFCOH
