We are looking for highly motivated individuals who share our passion for science and want to work in a friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment.
Fully funded PhD student and Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Peng Huang in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Calgary, Canada. Using zebrafish as a model system, our lab combines genetic tools, in vivo imaging, and functional approaches to uncover the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern tissue patterning and regeneration. Current research areas include spinal cord patterning, fibroblast origin and diversification, and tendon regeneration. Candidate Qualifications
PhD Student applicants should have:
A BSc or MSc in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Developmental Biology, or a related field
A strong academic background and good English communication skills
Enthusiasm for research and scientific discovery
Prior lab experience with genetic model organisms (preferred but not required)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Postdoctoral applicantsshould have:
A PhD in Developmental Genetics or a related discipline
Strong molecular biology expertise and a passion for developmental biology
A proven track record of research excellence, demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, awards, or scholarships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
