Essential Job DutiesThe position will involve multiple projects associated with polymer materials. Research will include thermomechanical characterization of the materials for applications in packaging and organic electronics. Research to also include stretchable sensor device fabrication and characterization. Duties & Responsibilities to include 1) oversee day-to-day activities on the mechanics of functional polymers, 2) work with and supervise graduate student researchers working on similar topics, and 3) prepare and submit periodic reports to funding sources.

Minimum Experience/EducationPh.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., Sc.D.) in appropriate field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment.

Departmental Required SkillsApplicants must have received their doctoral degree by the start date.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/EducationExperience desired in experimental research in the areas of organic electronics, thin film polymer processing, polymer mechanics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
