Position SummaryApplicant will perform tumor studies on mice and evaluate the function of chimeric antigen receptor T cells in the anti-tumor immune response. Candidates will be expected to generate CAR T cells, transduce CAR T cells into lymphocytes, be able to perform 5-8 color flow cytometry, to characterize immune cells in tumor studies by ELISA, IC cytokine staining, QPCR, and to use massive parallel sequencing to characterize adaptive immune receptors and the tumor microenvironment. Applicants should have a significant understanding of molecular viology, adaptive immunotherapy, characterize the immune microenvironment and be able to use animal models to characterize the tumor microenviroment.
Educational RequirementsAll applicants must have completed a MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree or have a degree equivalent.
Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants must be well versed in cellular and molecular immunology. This includes significant experience performing cloning and molecular immunology and virology, flow cytometry, QPCR, assays to measure cytokines and chemokines in various tissues and the ability to isolate and characterize specific immune populations in tissues after transplant. Additionally, applicants should have an in-depth knowledge of tumor immunology.
