杜克大学纳米光子学研究博士后招聘
Applications are invited for several Postdoctoral Fellow / Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions and a Lab Manager / Research Scientist Position in the group of Prof. Maiken Mikkelsen at Duke University. We are seeking self-motivated, creative and energetic candidates with a PhD degree in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, chemistry or closely related field.
Postdoctoral Positions in Experimental Nanophotonics
The candidate should have a strong background in one of the following areas: 1) novel photodetectors and/or multispectral imaging; 2) quantum optics and/or single photon sources; 3) two-dimensional materials; 4) nonlinear optical phenomena in subwavelength structures; 5) ultrafast optics; 6) metamaterials or metasurfaces. The postdoc will be expected to conduct nanofabrication, perform optical experiments and conduct data analysis. Additional responsibilities include preparation of manuscripts/reports and to mentor graduate/undergraduate research assistants.
Postdoctoral Position in Plasmonic Biosensors
The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in the experimental studies of a plasmonic, point-of-care biosensor in collaboration with our biomedical engineering colleagues. A background in one of the following areas is desired: 1) biosensors, 2) microfluidics, 3) fluorescence imaging or 4) nanophotonics and plasmonics. The postdoc will be expected to conduct nanofabrication, perform optical experiments and conduct data analysis. Additional responsibilities include preparation of manuscripts/reports and to mentor graduate/undergraduate research assistants.
Laboratory Manager/Research Scientist in Nanophotonics
The Laboratory Manager/Research Scientist will assist with day-to-day operations of the lab in addition to running their own research projects. The candidate should be responsible and have good organizational skills in addition to a strong background in optics. Experience with ultrafast optics is a plus. Additional responsibilities include preparation of manuscripts/reports and to mentor graduate/undergraduate research assistants.
The positions are available immediately with a flexible start date. For more information or to apply, send CV and a short description of your research interests to Prof. Maiken H. Mikkelsen at mikkelsen.jobs@gmail.com. Applications will be reviewed as they are received until the positions are filled.
