　　Overview Of Role

　　A Post-doctoral Scientist is required to join a group working on the genetic improvement of wheat quality, including quality for processing and human health. The work will be collaborative with colleagues at the John Innes Centre and will use a range of approaches including classical and molecular genetics.The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research programmes and will have an opportunity to develop new research within the broad interests of the group.

　　The successful candidate will have practical experience and a good understanding of the principles of wheat genetic improvement, including classical genetics,molecular genetics and biotechnology. Experience in designing and carrying out field trials and analysing data from genetic studies, including molecular markers and crop phenotypes would be advantageous.
