Post Doctoral Research Fellow in Spinal Biomechanics

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in musculoskeletal biomechanical modelling? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

Applications are invited for a Doctoral Research Fellowship position in the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine (LIRMM), in the research group of Prof Anthony Redmond to coordinate a project in spinal biomechanics.

As part of a prestigious EPSRC funded research programme, the post holder will address a research challenge exploring spinal biomechanics and risk of vertebral fracture in metastatic bone disease. This programme of work will be closely linked to other research challenges within the programme and the post holder will work with collaborators at UCL, Imperial and internationally. The post holder will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the specific work package and will also provide wider input into the future direction of the programme. With evidence of doctoral level experience in a related field, together with research experience of the techniques involved, you will also have effective interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
