£27511 to £30942 per annum (pro rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (£30942 with relevant PhD)
Applications are invited for the above role to contribute to the research and development work of a multidisciplinary team exploiting BACTIGON®, a polymer developed by the University of Nottingham to prevent bacterial biofilm formation and biofouling of a wide variety of medical and industrially relevant surfaces.
This will be achieved through work using in vitro models to investigate biofilm formation by single and multispecies biofilms on diverse polymer coated surfaces. The role holder will be responsible for generating new intellectual understanding/knowledge and engaging with commercial partners through the application of molecular microbiological and advanced microscopy imaging skills and expertise.
Candidates must hold A PhD or be near to completion of, a PhD or studying towards a PhD or equivalent in Molecular Microbiology.
This full-time (36.25 hour), fixed-term post is available immediately and must start by 1st October 2021. The post will be 6 months in duration from the start date. Job share arrangements may be considered.
