Multiple postdoctoral researcher positions are available immediately in the collaborative Cancer Nanomedicine & Drug Development Program between the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine and NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of California, Davis. This is a multidisciplinary research program focusing on the design, development and clinical translation of novel nanomedicine platforms and new drugs for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. The program is closely collaborating with the world class UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Comprehensive Cancer Center and Center for Genomic and Molecular Imaging. The position offers competitive salary and benefits. The successful candidates will have the opportunities to work with world renowned experts in cancer biology, PK/PD, pharmacology, cancer nanotechnology, immunology and molecular imaging to rapidly translate innovations from bench to bedside. The program is funded by multiple NIH grants and the wet lab setup is appropriate for the synthesis and characterization of new drugs and novel nanomaterials, drug development/screening, molecular biology and cell biology, multiple types of animal experiments, PK/PD and immunology. Multiple types of NMR, HPLC, MS, LC-MS, optical imaging, MRI, SPECT, micro-PET & PET/MRI, metabolomics, genomics, lipidomics and proteomics instruments are available).
The program is now expanding and inviting applications from candidates who have a recent PhD and strong expertise in at least one of the following fields: Pharmacology and toxicology, Cancer immunology, Cancer biology, Medicinal chemistry, or Drug delivery.
