Job Description

Two postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the Division of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas

to investigate the ion channel gating mechanisms and regulation and ion channel signaling in neurological disorders, pain and cancer. We seek highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researchers to participate in research on 1) purification, mass spectrometric analysis, and structural characterization of mammalian ion channel signaling complexes and 2) functional studies of ion channel proteins at the molecular, cellular and animal levels. Prior research experience in patch-clamp recording electrophysiology, protein purification and mass spectrometry, organelle biology, cancer biology, or animal behavior neuroscience will be preferred. Applicants should have a PhD degree obtained within five years. Applicants should provide curriculum vitae and a statement of research interest and qualifications.
