The Department of Physics and Astronomy/SAS at Rutgers University plans to hire a Postdoctoral Associate in the field of experimental condensed matter physics. The position’s anticipated duration is for one year. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics and demonstrate excellence in research and strong communication skills. The successful candidate should have a strong background in dealing with ultra‐high vacuum systems for the purpose of synthesizing quantum materials. S/he will synthesize and characterize thin film quantum materials utilizing advanced molecular beam epitaxy of chalcogenides and oxides, working closely with a number of theorists and experimentalists both within and without Rutgers University.
