  丹麦阿尔胡斯大学博士后职位

You have a very strong profile in machine learning, especially within the agricultural domain. AU-ENG offers a short term project funded position within detection and classification of cotyledon weeds under semi-field conditions and real field conditions in winter and spring cereal crops. The funding project RoboWeedMaPS (https://eng.au.dk/en/research/research-projects/electrical-and-computer-engineering-research-projects/roboweedmaps) is funded by Innovation Fund Denmark and is in its final phase ending ultimo 2020. Hence the primary focus will be on fast track model refinements, dissemination, and publications. This is also why the call is a fast track with start ASAP after May 1st, 2020.

Planning, execution, analysis, and publishing in collaboration with the rest of the group is also a very central task to be solved.

There is funding for 8 months of employment.

  Requirements for professional qualifications

  ·         Ph.D. in computer vision, machine learning/deep learning or related area (preferably in the agricultural)

  ·         Research and publication experience in the field of weed/crop detection and classification in agriculture

  ·         Experience developing vision-based algorithms like object detection, classification, and segmentation in the field of agriculture

  ·         Strong coding skills and knowledge of C/C++ and Python programming

  ·         Highly experienced in using deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, and Keras) for implementation of vision-based solutions

  ·         Communicate writing and documented peer publications in English

  Requirements for personal qualifications

  ·         Highly independent

  ·         Be able to plan, analyze and structure and write up peer journal papers

  ·         Be able to work in teams with external commercial project partners and deliver results fast.

  Workplace Information

  ·         Electronics and computer technology are closely related to engineering disciplines focusing on hardware and software development for intelligent devices and networks. It can be hardware at both system and component level and there can be many different types of software for managing electronic devices and networks.

  ·         Developments in this area have a major impact on our daily lives, where advanced technology is included in more and more of the products that people surround themselves with, for example. in industrial processes, hospitals and in information infrastructures.

  ·         At the Department of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering are divided into six research areas, each of which has one or more research groups.

  ·         The position is associated with an informal group of Computer Vision and Biosystems Signal Processing (https://eng.au.dk/en/research/electrical-and-computer-engineering/signal-processing/computer-vision-and-biosystem-signal-processing/) in the research area Signal Processing.

  ·         Computer Vision and Biosystems Signal Processing works primarily with signal processing for agricultural safety systems as well as vision-based recognition of weeds and crops in mixed crop cultures.

Area of ??employment and place of employment

The area of Employment is Aarhus University, and the place of employment is Science and Technology, Finlandsgade 22, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark.

Once the recruitment process is completed a final letter of rejection is sent to the deselected applicants, including the main considerations emphasized during the selection process.

  Formalities and salary range

Technical Sciences refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The application must be in English and include a curriculum vitae, degree certificate, a complete list of publications, a statement of future research plans and information about research activities, teaching portfolio and verified information on previous teaching experience (if any). Guidelines for applicants can be found here.

Appointment shall be in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Further information on qualification requirements and job content may be found in the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities.

Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Confederation of Professional Associations.
