The candidate will investigate the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the regulation of gene expression, signal transduction, and proliferation in human tumor cell systems as well as clinical samples. This research effort also focuses on the development of small molecule inhibitors targeting reactive oxygen-generating epithelial tumor cell NADPHoxidases. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated scientific productivity to join the laboratory. Experience in eukaryotic molecular pharmacology and signal transduction is required; expertise in cell- and in vivo-based molecular pharmacodynamics and free radical biology is also desirable.
