哈佛医学院生物统计学方向博士后职位招聘
Dr. Tayob’s research group at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Harvard Medical School invites applicants for a biostatistics postdoctoral position. Dr. Tayob’s research program focuses on the development of statistical methods for biomarker evaluation (Tayob et al, Biometrics 2016) and screening algorithms with longitudinal biomarkers (Tayob et al, CGH 2015 and Tayob et al, Biometrics 2017).
The postdoctoral fellow will collaborate with Dr. Tayob to develop and validate longitudinal biomarker algorithms to improve the early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This work is highly collaborative, and the postdoctoral fellow will interact with leading researchers in the field of early detection and biomarker development. Longitudinal biomarker algorithms that have demonstrated clinical utility to improve early detection of HCC could improve the poor mortality rates associated with HCC, a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. These algorithms can also be utilized in many other settings and Dr. Tayob has collaborations with researchers at DFCI to explore these further.
Qualifications:
• A Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming and oral/written communication skills.
• Strong interest or experience in developing R packages and Shiny applications for dissemination of statistical methods.
• Demonstrated experience working on applied research projects with non-statistical collaborators.
• A strong track record of scientific publications.
