  德国马克思·普朗克医学研究所蛋白质工程与化学生物学研究博士后招聘

At the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, one of the 86 institutes of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, physicists, chemists and biologists create know- ledge of long-term relevance to life and basic medical sciences

Postdoctoral Positions in protein engineering and chemical biology (m/f/d) (17/2019)

Postdoctoral positions (2 years or longer) are available at the Department of Chemical Biology (Prof. Kai Johnsson) of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg.

The goal of the project is the development of lead compounds against new nociceptor-selective protein targets suitable for pain therapy. The successful candidates will develop novel approaches for the selection of small molecules from encoded combinatorial libraries (phage display, DNA display) that specifically bind to complex protein targets. Molecules generated through these approaches will subsequently be evaluated in innovative, disease-relevant biological assays. The project is part of a long-term collaboration with groups from Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Priority will be given to candidates with previous experiences with encoded combinatorial libraries (phage display or DNA display), or in the fields of protein engineering and chemical biology.

The Max Planck Society is committed to increasing the number of individuals with disabilities in its workforce and therefore encourages applications from such qualified individuals. The Max Planck Society strives for gender and diversity equality. We welcome applications from all backgrounds. A daycare center for children is located near the institute.
