　　Job Description

　　The Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology has an opening for a post-doctoral research associate. This position is supported by multi-year federal research grants. The aims of the research projects are to develop novel algorithms of medical image analysis and tissue motion computation for clinical applications of cancer patient treatments and radiation treatment for cardiac diseases. The candidate should have experiences in development and implementation of image processing for CTs and MRIs. Experiences with medical image reconstruction, image registration and image segmentations are favorable. Strong skills in scientific programming are required. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for the candidates to pursue a career in the field of medical imaging and medical physics. The candidate may also have the opportunity to attend the medical physics ABR (the American Board of Radiology) certification education program so to be eligible for ABR exams and for medical physics residency.

　　Qualifications:

　　• PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, physics, medical physics or a related field

　　• Skills in scientific programming using MATLAB, Python, C/C++/C#

　　• Experience of academic research and manuscript publication
