  Open Position – Postdoctoral Scholar

  A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Mei Kong in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. The Kong lab focuses on the crosstalk between metabolic microenvironment and epigenetic regulations in tumor development and drug response. In addition, we are also interested in the study of phosphatase pathways in obesity, diabetes and cancer.   The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and a recent graduate with a PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree with strong academic training in cancer cell biology, epigenetics/genetics, metabolic related diseases. Applicants must have no more than 2 years of postdoctoral research experience and have first-authored publications in respected journals.
