Job Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is looking for a Post-Doctoral Scientist interested in understanding the ovarian cancer pathobiology. The lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of ovarian cancer signaling, role of mutant p53 and ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) in tumor progression. Test the efficacy of small-molecule inhibitors from UPS in the ovarian cancer intervention. Our research integrates multi-omics approaches, mouse models, patient tumors, cellular and molecular biology techniques.
Required Qualification and Experience
1. Ph.D. in cell/molecular biology, biochemistry or related field
2. Relevant background in cancer biology, transcriptional regulation or cancer epigenetics
3. Experience in molecular and cell biology experiments, mammalian cell culture, ChIP, proteomics, and animal handling
4. Ability to learn and use new techniques, efficient worker in team or independently, and with creative thinking and problem-solving skills
5. Enthusiastic and self-motivated recent PhD graduates, who would like to develop a professional career in biomedical/cancer research
6. Good verbal, writing and computational skills
