  The BioEngine group at Department of Health Technology (DTU Health Tech) are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated candidate for a position as senior specialist for developing Materials for wearables. The specific focus here is on integrating sensor materials into wearables for healthcare monitoring system. The main tasks of the position are design and development of advanced sensor materials, wearable technology, healthcare systems, and real-time monitoring of the biomechanical output parameters of patients.

  、In the BioEngine group, we turn to nature for bioinspired discoveries to create advanced material innovations. Advanced materials have already aided tremendously in the development of interesting solutions in nanomedicine, electronics and tissue engineering.

  The job Your main responsibilities and tasks consists of:

    Independent development of high international quality and of innovative solutions in wearables.

    The developmental work could include advanced materials development, sensor fabrication and their electronics applications.

    Potential for interactions and collaboration with existing research programs at DTU Health Tech.

    The successful candidate will be expected to interact with the industry and commercialize new inventions at DTU and manage other junior researchers..

  Our expectations of you The successful candidate should have

    A PhD degree (or equivalent).

    A strong track record and highest international quality of innovation and development.

    Strong background in Materials science, Flexible electronics, wearable systems etc.

    Excellent interdisciplinary communication and team working skills.

    Should be able to compete for national and international innovation grants and to mature existing technology.

  Salary and appointment terms The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
