  Summary of DutiesThe Department of Physics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to join our Experimental High Energy team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The College values diversity and offers a supportive, open, and inclusive community. The Experimental High Energy Physics ATLAS group invites applications for a Post Doctoral Scholar position. Located at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, the Post Doctoral Scholar will have the opportunity to direct their own research program and projects related to the ATLAS experiment. The ATLAS project and its experimentation provide excellent opportunities to measure properties of the Higgs boson as well as aid in the understanding of particle physics beyond the Standard Model. The Post Doctoral Scholar will write papers to publish in research journals and travel to workshops and conferences to promote findings. Additionally, he/she will work with, mentor, and educate graduate and undergraduate students.   Required QualificationsCandidates must have demonstrated records of accomplishments in high energy and/or particle physics, and a Doctoral degree in Physics.
