  Job Description

  The Department of Dermatology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate. This position primarily investigates the connections between psoriasis and scalp hair follicle biology by use of dermatopathology, quantitative immunohistomorphometry, ISH, laser capture microdissection, skin and hair follicle organ culture as well as by pharmacological and gene silencing studies.

  The duties and responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

  Establishes and organizes clinical, experimental and literature-based databases

  Performs and independently evaluates IHC/IF and ISH, skin organ culture

  Engages in gene expression profiling and data mining

  Minimum Qualifications

  Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in a closely related field of study; or M.D. Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

  Patient safety is a top priority.
